Automation and AI

Automatic monitoring of freelance job postings

Every hour, an n8n workflow collects the new postings from five sites. AI assesses them against my criteria, and I get an email for the ones worth it.

The need

I look for projects on several job sites. Reading all of them, every hour, would take time I'd rather spend working.

What I built

An n8n workflow on my server runs every hour. It collects new postings from Codeur.com, the n8n and Make forums, Free-Work and WordPress Jobs, then drops those outside my line of work.

The AI judges each remaining posting against a written set of criteria: is the need clear enough, how long will the work take, does the budget cover it. Each decision is recorded with its reason.

For every posting it keeps, I get an email: the angle for my reply, the message to send and the estimated time.

A real tool that I use every day. The postings come from public sites. It has no public demo: it's a tool I work with.

What the workflow does, every hour

  1. It starts on its own, every hour.
  2. It collects new postings from five sites.
  3. It drops those outside my line of work.
  4. The AI judges the others and explains each decision.
  5. It only writes to me about the postings it keeps.
Under the hood

What I checked

  • Running on my server since October 3, 2026, extended to five sites on October 11.
  • Each decision is recorded with its reason: I can go back and see why a posting was dropped.
  • A posting already sent to me is not sent again.
  • Postings in English, Spanish or German are judged too.

I read back through the AI's decisions in its log, batch by batch.
