Visibility Doctor for WooCommerce

Privacy — Visibility Doctor for WooCommerce (free and Pro)

Free plugin

  • No data collected by the publisher. The plugin sends nothing to the publisher or to any third party. It makes no external call, loads no remote script or font, and sets no cookie of its own.
  • No personal data. The plugin reads your products (status, visibility, stock, price, variations, product_visibility terms), the WooCommerce setting "Hide out of stock items" and the list of callbacks hooked to four WooCommerce filters. It reads nothing about your customers or your orders.
  • Stored by the plugin: one option, vdwc_last_audit (not autoloaded): the date of the last audit, the counters per cause and up to 2,000 lines (product ID and name, type, status, verdicts, causes). No personal data. Deleted on uninstall, on every site of a multisite.
  • Only users with the manage_woocommerce capability see the diagnosis box and the audit page.

Pro add-on

  • License and updates through the Freemius SDK, the only network calls. Pro embeds the Freemius WordPress SDK (Freemius, Inc., Wilmington, Delaware, United States, the reseller of the Pro plugin). Right after the plugin is activated, the SDK shows a license activation screen. When the store administrator enters the license key, the SDK sends to Freemius the key, the site address and name, an anonymous site identifier, the WordPress, PHP, plugin and SDK versions, the site language, whether the site is a local one, and the first name, last name and e-mail address of the WordPress administrator who activates (the Freemius account of the license holder is linked to them). Afterwards the SDK checks the license and looks for plugin updates periodically (about once a day) with the same site data, and tells Freemius when the plugin is deactivated or uninstalled. Two optional items, off by default: the list of installed plugins and themes is sent only if the administrator allows it on the Pro Account page; the text typed in the SDK's deactivation feedback form, if any, is sent at uninstall. No customer data is ever sent; the free plugin makes no external call at all.
  • License key: stored by the Freemius SDK in the WordPress options (fs_accounts), shown only on the Pro Account page and only when the administrator clicks "Show", never sent anywhere but to Freemius. If Freemius cannot be reached, the SDK keeps the last known license state until the next successful check, and stops the Pro features at the license expiry date.
  • CSV export, product list column, WP-CLI command: computed on your own site from your products and the last audit. The CSV file is downloaded by the administrator who clicks the button; Pro does not send it anywhere.
  • Purchase data (name, e-mail, billing details) is handled by Freemius as reseller under its own privacy policy, not by the plugin.
  • Pro keeps no option of its own. The option vdwc_pro_license of the versions before the Freemius SDK, if present, is deleted when the plugin is uninstalled from the WordPress admin. The Freemius SDK keeps its own account data (installation, user, license) in the WordPress options after uninstall, as Freemius designed it; to remove them, use "Delete account" on the Pro Account page before uninstalling.
